Books & other projects
The Tuwhiri Project was set up in 2018 with the intention of helping people find meaning in a difficult world by producing educational resources for secular dharma practitioners and communities.
To date, we have published two books, a third is being worked on, and we are creating an online course which is expected to go live in the second half of the year. More books are in the pipeline.
After Buddhism: a workbook
The consummate guide to Stephen Batchelor’s After Buddhism: Rethinking the dharma for a secular age. Use this workbook to run a course for your sangha, or to deepen your own understanding of After Buddhism.
what is this? Ancient questions for modern minds
Bringing together the meditation instructions and dharma talks given by Martine and Stephen Batchelor during a Sŏn retreat, What is this? takes us through the practice of radical questioning at the heart of the Korean Sŏn Buddhist tradition and suggests how we can benefit from this form of meditation today.
After buddhism: exploring a secular dharma
An online course for people who have a secular orientation toward the dharma and want to learn more about the basic ideas and concepts of secular Buddhism.
At the same time, this course will also be very useful to those who are curious about the topic.
A word in te reo Maori, ‘tuwhiri’ means to disclose, reveal, divulge, make known, or a clue, a means of discovering or disclosing something lost or hidden, a hint, a tip, a pointer.
